What is a Havurah?The word havurah comes from the word haver, meaning "friend." A havurah is a group of Jewish individuals or families, who gather together to socialize, celebrate Jewish holidays, learn more about Jewish subjects, or take any focus that the group chooses.

The goal of West Side Havurah is to a create a real sense of kehillah, or community, for Jewish people living in greater Atlanta's west-metro communities. Our havurah is made up of families, couples and individuals of all ages who are members of many different synagogues, temples, and other Jewish organizations across greater Atlanta. We are forming a network of friends across our immediate community in the hopes that we can benefit from the mutual connection of Judaism. Some of our activities are for our entire havurah, while others are geared for smaller groups within the havurah.
